Hello everybody, I’m Emily.

Sewing is my life. Ever since I was a little girl I was surrounded by sewing. My nanny was a seamstress so it was kind a natural that sewing will be a part of my life, one way or another.

I was pretty young when I got my first sewing machine. It was the best Christmas present ever. I sewed clothes for my baby dolls at first. Later I started making my own clothes.

When my girlfriends started asking me to sew for them I was sure this was my call.

I’ve spent hours, days and nights (literally) in my grandma’s crochet work helping her and learning. She was a woman of endless patience willing to answer all of my questions.

As I was growing up, I became aware of the fact that people around me don’t know much about sewing. I thought that’s wrong. Sewing was my love and my passion so it was hard to understand that people know little or nothing about it.

Persistent as I am, I wasn’t ready to just let things go. I was sure that the main reason for not loving or knowing sewing was ignorance.

In the world of internet and online communication what was better than creating a website with all the facts. That’s how Sewing Machine Life was made.

I’ve decided that if I want people to love sewing, they need to know the historical importance of it.

In order to sew they’ll need to know some basic information about sewing itself, machines, materials and all other important things!

Knowing how happy I am when I sew I wanted to make other people happy. I believe Sewing Machine Life is the place where you’ll find not only important information about sewing, but also a place where you’ll happy and fulfilled.

Besides being your advisor, I want to be your sewing friend.

Welcome.
